UPCOMING RETREATS 

  • June 18–23, 2017: Summer Service Retreat. Join us at Serenity Ridge from June 18–23 for a service retreat just before the annual Summer Retreat. This is a wonderful time to share with the sangha and to be of joyful service. Participants in the full Service Retreat will receive 50 percent off the registration cost for one week of Summer Retreat.

  • June 25July 8, 2017: Summer Retreat. Heart of Realization: Bön Dzogchen Pith Instructions & Teachings on the Bön Mother Tantra, with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. Join us this summer for two weeks of special teachings from Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in honor of Ligmincha's 25th anniversary. The morning teachings of both weeks will focus on the pith instructions of Bön dzogchen lineage masters. During the afternoons Rinpoche will teach from the Bön Mother Tantra. You are welcome to attend one or both weeks.

  • July 9–15, 2017: Summer Practice Retreat with Geshe Tenzin Yangton. Following our annual summer retreat with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, continue your stay at Serenity Ridge by registering for a practice retreat with Geshe Tenzin Yangton, resident lama at Serenity Ridge. Participants may attend from one to seven days.

TUESDAY MEDITATION SESSIONS AT SERENITY RIDGE

Tuesdays, 6–7 p.m.: Meditation sessions with Geshe Tenzin Yangton are held each Tuesday in the Garuda House shrine room, unless otherwise noted. To confirm future meetings, please call the Serenity Ridge office at 434-263-6304.

 

REQUEST PRAYERS AND RITUALS WITH SERENITY RIDGE RESIDENT LAMA

Geshe Tenzin Yangton gompa horizontalGeshe Tenzin Yangton, the resident lama at Serenity Ridge Retreat Center, is available to perform prayers, offerings and other rituals for sangha members and friends. Rituals are available in your home or at Serenity Ridge, depending on what is requested. 

In keeping with longstanding Tibetan Bon Buddhist tradition, these rituals can be performed to offer blessings and generate merit, remove obstacles, purify negative energy, fulfill wishes, benefit those who have died and heal the living. They can be requested for oneself or for a friend or family member.
